Program Description

This event takes place over 2 weeks, the first week is in the spring and the second week is in late fall. The week in the spring will focus on the embryology and anatomy of the vascular system of the brain, the dura, the skull base, the head and neck region, the spine and spinal cord. It will also discuss in detail the clinical presentation, the imaging characteristics and the management strategies of vascular disorders such as arteriovenous shunts and vascular neoplasms affecting the skull base, the head and neck region as well as the spine and the spinal cord.

The fall week discusses in detail the clinical presentation, imaging characteristics and management strategies including endovascular, surgical and radiosurgical, of vascular malformations of the central nervous system as well as neurovascular disorders presenting with hemorrhagic and or ischemic stroke.
