Program Description

The Canadian Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine was created to support, advocate and educate psychiatrists and other mental health providers involved in provision of consultation and liaison services focusing on treatment  for medically ill patients with psychiatric concerns.  They could be working in either inpatient or outpatient settings. CAPM has also delivered education activities to primary care and other healthcare professionals to increase capacity of psychiatric care in medical inpatient and outpatient settings.

The proposed program aims to provide clinicians caring for patients with complex medical and psychiatric issues in outpatient and inpatient settings with updates on best practices of care. Knowledge and skills to improve care for these patients will be taught and shared with attendees.
