Program Description

This program includes a structured review of some of the more common clinical entities that are encountered in both community and tertiary radiology practices as it pertains to head and neck disease.

Topics Include

  1. Detailed review of cross-sectional anatomy of the major components of the head and neck
  2. Imaging review of patterns of head and neck tumor spread
  3. Post-therapy head and neck imaging: expected changes and imaging of recurrent disease
  4. Multidisciplinary head and neck oncology tumor board session

Learning Objectives

Participants at this symposium will:

  1. Gain familiarity with head and neck imaging anatomy and learn to recognize key upstaging features for common head and neck cancers
  2. Distinguish between expected post therapy changes in the extracranial head and neck versus disease recurrence
  3. Understand what the clinician wants to know from the head and neck imaging report
