Program Description

In 2019-20, we held two separate mini-conference series – one for Full + Partial Launch programs and one for Continued Launch programs. These mini-conferences served to align programs with the CBD implementation process, provide the materials for completion during each step, and allow programs to share/discuss knowledge and ideas with their colleagues.

This year, we will be embarking on a more hands-on workshop model, whereby a dedicated workshop is held for each CBD Implementation Activity / grouping of Activities, with the aim that Programs will kick-start their document development in-session. With the current COVID-19 pandemic, we will hold these sessions virtually and hold breakout sessions for maximal engagement.

In addition to the five workshops, we will also be holding 2 Town Hall Meetings during the 2020-21 academic year that are open to both the Full and Continued Launch Programs. These will provide an opportunity to update programs on any news as it relates to PGME, the Royal College’s CBD expectations, our local implementation process, and supporting systems (Elentra, POWER). These Town Halls will also provide ample time for Programs to ask questions and raise any concerns / feedback.

Due to the important information covered, the PD, PA, CBD Lead, and/or delegate is/are required to attend the workshops and Town Halls, unless an alternate arrangement has been made. In the instance that you absolutely cannot attend, recorded sessions will be made available and you are strongly encouraged to follow-up with Lisa St. Amant (lisa.st.amant@utoronto.ca) to ensure you are up-to-speed.

The session dates and times are listed below for your planning. Follow-up communications will be sent closer to each date with remote login details.
