Goals and Objectives

Goals:

Improve the ability of surgeons at all levels to understand, discuss, and manage ethical issues that arise in surgical practice.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

• Confront and resolve difficult problems of underperforming surgeons and trainees.
• Discuss and advise on ethical issues inherent in surgical training
• Provide reliable guidance on expanding boundaries for surgical procedures and patients.
• Apply ethical frameworks to the problem of dealing with OR case prioritization
