Program Description
The head and neck region is vital to how we interact with our world and a site of frequent lumps and bumps. The skin, eyelids, mouth, salivary glands, and lymph nodes are areas that frequently develop a “lump”. Family physicians and specialists are tasked with determining whether this particular lump or bump is benign or malignant. If making the diagnosis wasn’t challenging enough, determining if the lesion is skin deep or more sinister and sorting out the best way to biopsy and coordinate treatment can be a frustrating and confusing endeavor.
